ETL9.1: Timesheet Performance and DB contention issue. (Doc ID 1485360.1)

Symptoms

On : 9.1 version, Time and Labor performance issue.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Users are taking 5 to 15 mins to login to the application, and also long times are being seen when trying to report time.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expected that the users should be able to login and open timesheet in few secs.

 

Issue observed:

-----------------
1. Busy days when all users are entering their time.
2. As the employees and managers are reporting time and approving time they are seeing table locks occurring and slowness as more users attempt to login.

3. AWR report showing 88% of the total elapse time taken on

UPDATE PS_EOAW_IDS SET EOAWCOUNTER = EOAWCOUNTER + 10 WHERE EOAWCOUNTERNAME = 'TL_APP_RPTD_XRF'
