Information in this document applies to any platform.
PeopleSoft Multi-Channel Framework (MCF) since PeopleTools 8.44 can receive email via delivered Integration Broker connector GETMAILTARGET.
Per the delivered product documentation GETMAILTARGET connector can be configured to work with common POP3 and IMAP4 email protocols.
Microsoft Outlook uses with Microsoft Exchange a protocol MAPI/RPC (Messaging Application Programming Interface / Remote Procedure Calls).
It is Microsoft proprietory, and is also called colloquially "MAPI protocol", and in docs, "Exchange RPC" or "Outlook-Exchange Transport Protocol".
Some companies that use software solutions based mostly on Microsoft products may have company policies or preferences to use MAPI/RPC.
Is it possible to configure the GETMAILTARGET connector on MCF_GETMAIL node to use Microsoft MAPI/RPC protocol?
