How To Export and Import Planning Instance Data for Troubleshooting Purposes (Doc ID 1489153.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Supply Planning - Version 9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This Knowledge Document explains how to export Planning Instance data and how to import it into another environment for test or troubleshooting purposes without impacting the current production environment.

Note:
Uploading the Planning Instance data following the below steps has its limitation especially when the target environment does not have the base data such the Items, Customers, etc. You will be able to execute the various Supply Planning processes in the target environment but inquiry pages may not work as the system will not be able to find the base data. So either you will have to create the missing base data manually in order to use the inquiry pages or use SQL statement to check the data in the Supply Planning tables.
