GL Cashiering Interface Inserts Too Many Rows After CS Bundle 27

(Doc ID 1508283.1)

Last updated on JULY 11, 2016

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Financials - Version 9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On CS 9 Bundle 27 in TEST, Cashiering GL Interface inserted extra rows into the SF_ACCTG_LN table. A Cash Posting to pay several different items results in duplicate rows being inserted into the SF_ACCTG_LN table.

This started after application of CS 9.0 Bundle 27.

Duplicate lines are not inserted in the SF_ACCTG_LN table.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Add multiple fees in different terms
  2. Add cashiering payment over the amount of the due charges
  3. Run GL interface
  4. Run Cashiering Interface
  5. SF Accounting creates multiple erroneous accounting entries each time the payment is split over MULTIPLE TERMS

This issue was introduced with CS 9 Bundle 27
