Symptoms

On :  8.9 version, Other

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR:
----------------------------
System is allowing Activity Status Effective dates be entered beyond the activity start and end dates when the default effective date is used.

Also the error message refers to Project Dates instead of Activity dates

"Date: 2012-11-05 is not between Project Start date: 2012-01-01 and Project End date: 2012-10-31. (13100,495)

Please change date or modify Project Start or End dates."

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
-------------------------------
System should not allow Activity Status Effective dates be entered beyond the activity start and end dates when the default effective date is used.

The message refers should say Activity Dates instead of Project Dates.

"Date: 2012-11-05 is not between Activity Start date: 2012-01-01 and Activity End date: 2012-10-31. (13100,495)

Please change date or modify Activity Start or End dates."

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a Project -TEST_PROJECT with start and end date as 01/01/2012 and 10/31/2012
2. Create an Activity - TEST_ACTIVITY
3. If today's date is 11/06/2012, Try create an Activity Status. The default date is 11/06/2012. User can create an Activity Status with for the TEST_ACTIVITY with today's effective date.
4. Now try creating an Activity Status with an effective date that is outside the scope of project date and not today's date. For Example 11/05/2012. The system throws a message saying the dates are outside the project dates.

Date: 2012-11-05 is not between Project Start date: 2012-01-01 and Project End date: 2012-10-31. (13100,495)

Please change date or modify Project Start or End dates.

5. But when used the effective date of today that defaults, the system saves the activity status without any issue. The system should not allow this.

The 2 issues here are
1. The Message should reflect Activity instead of Project. Since the checking is being done against activity dates and not project dates
2. The system should not allow the effective dates row to be saved beyond the activity start and end date.
