There are intermittent issues where the WebLogic PIA uses 100% CPU or PIA stops responding. The issue occurs for WebLogic 10.3.6 and lower WebLogic 10.3 maintenance packs. It occurs in an environment where JSSE is enabled (JSSE is disabled by default, but needs to be enabled if using SHA2 SSL certificates). SHA2, is the successor of SHA1 and gathered 4 kinds of hash functions: SHA224, SHA256, SHA384 and SHA512.
The "High CPU" issue can occur anytime, even where there is little load on the PIA.
The CPU usage never goes back down. Even though CPU is at 100% the PIA is usually still accessible. The only way to recover from the "100% CPU" issue or PIA not responding is to restart the PIA domain.
