E-IB: Providing a Web Service Returns a "Cannot establish HTTP connection" Error (Doc ID 1511376.1)

Symptoms

A new Component Interface (CI) web service was created.  When stepping through the Provide Web Service wizard, the error below is received.

Error:

"Cannot establish HTTP connection"



Replication steps:

1. Expose a CI as a Web Service.
2. Step through the Provide Web Service wizard (navigation: PeopleTools > Integration Broker > Web Service > Provide Web Service). On step 2 of 4 the error above is seen.
3. Observe that when step 2 of 4 is reached, the error above is seen.

PeopleTools (PT) 8.56.08
HCM 9.20
