E-WL: Correct Setting For Coherence-enable-suspect-attributes For PIA And Weblogic (Doc ID 1512828.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 18, 2014

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.52 and later
Oracle Coherence - Version 3.7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Running PeopleTools v8.52.06, weblogic 10.3.6.0.2, coherence 3.7.1.6
Trying to setup seamless failover for our PIA's, followed the Red Paper "Configuring Oracle Coherence*Web for PeopleSoft Internet Architecture" dated October 2011.
Clustering and High Availability for PeopleTools (Doc ID 747378.1)

In that paper on page 12 it says to remove the comments around the section in the web.xml file that sets coherence-enable-suspect-attributes to true.

But, on page 17 it shows the output after restarting the PIA and it shows "Suspect Attribute Detection=false" which means the output that they show has coherence-enable-suspect-attributes to false.

Should that parameter be set to True or False?
It seems that setting it to True may cause some locking behaviour in the webserver and ending with stuck threads.
