Purpose

This page contains documentation and related information for the PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.53 Upgrade.

IMPORTANT! If you use SAP Crystal Reports with PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.53 it is crucial that you download and install SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework 4 (Crystal Reports version for Visual Studio 2010). See the PeopleTools 8.53 Installation Addendum for more information and instructions on how to download these files. See the installation home page, Doc ID 1523278.1.

 

Note. HRMS - PeopleTools Dependencies:
If you have applied any HRMS maintenance against your database that had a feature with a prerequisite for PeopleTools 8.51 or later, additional steps may be needed to activate the feature after completing the PeopleTools upgrade.

Scope

You perform this PeopleSoft upgrade using PeopleSoft Change Assistant. You will need data conversion scripts for Application Engine and Change Assistant templates to perform the upgrade. To prepare for your upgrade project, it is recommended that your project team becomes well versed in Application Engine and attends PeopleSoft Upgrade training.

NOTE. If you license a PeopleSoft Application, but are performing a PeopleTools-only upgrade to bring your PeopleTools to the most recent level, please be sure to review the Hardware/Software Requirements Guide, for your licensed application, for any updated information.
