Goal

In an environment where a front-end device (eg load balancer or proxy server) is forwarding requests to WebLogic server(s), does the front-end device need to be on same domain as the WebLogic server? For example: web server host name is "mywebserver.mycompany.com" and load balancer host name is "lb.mycompany.net". Will this work?
And does Authentication Domain need to be configured? If so, what should the Authentication Domain value be?
