Goal

EAM- Why Assets Secondary Books Always Get Exchange Rate Type From AM Business Units in the Cost History

AM business unit defined with several books. One is primary and called CORP, others are secondary and have their own currency and exchange rate type.

When an asset created with a rate type different from the rate type defined in the business unit page, in the Asset Cost History page, CORP (default book) will use the rate type defined on the asset but secondary books use the rate type defined in the business unit page.

Replication steps:

- Define a rate type for books in the set up AM entity component
- Create an asset with another rate type - override the rate type from what it defaults.
- Check cost history component to see that some books took the AM entity rate type insted of the asset rate type.
