Repackaging Setup: Inaccurate Error Message when Saving Plan with Duplicate Processing Order (Doc ID 1550273.1)

Last updated on APRIL 20, 2016

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to save a new repackaging plan,
the following error occurs if the processing order of the new plan is already assigned to another plan for the same aid year and career:

"Field does not exist -- PKG_PLAN_TBL.PROCESSING_ORDER. (180,104) SFA_RPKG_PLAN.PROCESSING_ORDER.SaveEdit PCPC:1089 Statement:4

A reference to a record.field name was made and the record.field name was not found to exist. Verify that the field exists on the page in which the PeopleCode program is being executed.

Review the program for errors. If necessary, run a PeopleCode trace to determine the program that failed."

The message does not accurately describe the real issue (duplicate processing order), which is temporarily confusing to users.
