Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using Class Search, an error occurs, and the message displayed on the page begins as follows:

In this particular case, the error is traced to occur when there are more than 300 locations - represented by rows in the LOCATION_TBL -  but is not related to just the use of the location field in the search. The error may occur immediately upon entering the component and/or clicking any of the other drop-down fields available.

The issue has been reported specifically with the Classic version of Class Search, and it is not established whether the issue also occurs when using the FLUID search.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Set up more than 300 locations on the PS_LOCATION_TBL (Set Up Common Objects > Foundation Tables > Organization > Location > Location Address).
  2. Navigate to Classic Class Search by any of the navigation options such as Main Menu > Self Service > Student Center > Search for Classes.
  3. Note error displayed after entering the page or attempting to access any of the dropdown fields.
