ETL9.1: Multiple Job Employee Time Skips Routing To Reports_To For The DUR And Points To The TimeAdmin. (Doc ID 1568135.1)

Last updated on MARCH 13, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Time and Labor - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Employees in multiple records time skips routing to the reports to for the DUR and points to the TL Admin.
if time entered for more than one DUR at a time, the system will skip the routing to the reports to for the first DUR of time but then the system will route to the reports to for all of the subsequent DUR's submitted.

When using Approvals by PosnSupervisor, reported time approvals do not work properly when the employee for whom the time is being reported does not have
a user profile. Both Absence management and T&L use same app class to determine the set of approvers but they behave differently. When user profile
exists for the employee for whom we are reporting time, then approvals are properly routed to the PosnSupervisor without any problems.
If there is no user profile present for the employee for whom we are reporting time, then approvals get skipped for both employee records 0 and 1
for absences reported from Absence management self service pages. But when we report time from the time sheet pages, approvals are not skipped for
employee record 0/primary job and they are routed to PosnSupervisor of the person reporting this time. For employee record 1/secondary job, approvals
get skipped only for the first day. If we are reporting time for a single day, then approvals are skipped for this day, but if we are reporting time
for 5 days, then approval routing is proper for the last 4 days and approvals are skipped on the first day.

1) employee A’s record 0 is active and is primary. Employee A’s Record 1 is secondary. Employee A has no user profile and both records report to same position number. Employee B that enters the time “reports to” can be the same position number or different. the time is entered by employee B and will route for record zero to employee B’s supervisor successfully. Employee B enters time for Employee A’s record 1 and time for first date submitted will skip employee B’s supervisor and route to the tl administrator(s).

2) If time is entered on record 1 for one DUR and submitted then the time will skip the reports to and route to the tl administrator. If time is entered for multiple DUR’s and submitted then the time for the first DUR skips the reports to and routes to the tl administrator, but all subsequent DUR’s route to the reports to successfully.

3) The following message is triggered - "This message is to notify you that an error occurred while processing this request. Please use the following link to view the transaction".
The transaction in Monitor approval Administrator page (Main menu > Workforce Administration > Self Service Transactions > Approvals and Delegation > monitor Approvals) that contains the DUR that skipped the direct reports to and routed to the tl administrator can be restarted and the time will route successfully to the direct reports to.
