Financial Aid issues in a decoupled Application Home (PS_APP_HOME) in Campus Solutions 9.0 (Doc ID 1568224.1)

Last updated on MARCH 09, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9 to 9 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
PeopleSoft Home is a file system location that contains everything associated with a PeopleSoft runtime environment. It contains PeopleTools installation, PeopleSoft Application, PeopleTools runtime components (appserver configuration, log files) and some third party products.

Until PeopleTools 8.50, all file system content related to a PeopleSoft environment was consolidated within the same directory tree which is the original PeopleSoft Home - PS_HOME.

PeopleTools 8.52 introduced PS_APP_HOME or Application Home. The introduction of a decoupled Application Home allows the PeopleSoft Application to be installed and maintained independent of PeopleTools. A classic deployment is possible by installing the PeopleSoft Application on top of PS_HOME.

After deploying the decoupled Application Home in Campus Solutions 9.0, some Financial Aid processes are no longer working:
