This Document is only for PT 8.52, through PT 8.54 and is prior to any PeopleSoft delivery of ics.jar in either PUM Release or with DPK. Currently (PT 8.56) there is new issue related to where/how ics.jar is delivered either with a PUM image or within DPK, see this Bug:

Symptoms
Using SendMail to send email, it fails with the following error.
