Applies to:PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Mobile Inventory Management - Version 9.1 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
There are a few mistakes in the following Mobile Inventory Management Installation Guides:
- Release 9.1 > see Knowledge <Document 1290972.1> (PeopleSoft Enterprise Financials/Supply Chain Management 9.1 Mobile Inventory Management Installation Guide),
- Release 9.2 > see Knowledge <Document 1531302.1> (PeopleSoft Financials/Supply Chain Management 9.2 Installation).
Mistake # 1:
Search for the Task called 'Applying the PeopleSoft Mobile Inventory Management Authentication Provide' and section called 'Adding the PeopleSoft Authentication Provider to the Active SecurityRealm' (note that in release 9.2 "SecurityReal" has been replace with "Security Realm"). Scroll down and look for the following: "b. On the Welcome and login page, in the User ID field enter weblogic, and in the Password field enter a password (for example, welcome1)."
This is incorrect. The User ID and Password to use are the ones you defined in part 8 of Task called 'Starting the Configuration Wizard to Define a New Domain'.
The correct text should be: "On the Welcome and login page, enter your user name and password and then click Login.".
Mistake # 2:
The screen shot of the 'ADF Connections Configuration' page is incorrect in Part 14 of Task called 'Deploying the Mobile Application to Oracle Application Developer for an Oracle WebLogic Server'.
The 'Create Connection' section, as well as the 'Edit', 'Delete', and 'Configure Web Service' buttons are not displayed. See the attached document (click here to download it) to see the difference between the documentation and the real 'ADF Connections Configuration' page. This has been confirmed when using the following WebLogic and ADF versions:
WebLogic 10.3.5.0 on ADF 126.96.36.199
Weblogic 10.3.6.0 on ADF 188.8.131.52
Also the following text is incorrect:
"Review or edit the connections. Highlight a connection, then click the pencil/edit icon to edit that connection."
This is not possible as the 'Edit' button is not displayed.
Mistake # 3:
Search for the Task called 'Applying the PeopleSoft Mobile Inventory Management Authentication Provider' and section called 'Prerequisites'.
In release 9.1, the text states that "The wlPSFTSecurityProviders.jar file can be found in the preceding directory location after you complete the Bundle 12 installation instructions that include the task titled "Installing PeopleSoft Mobile Inventory Management."".
This is incorrect. The wlPSFTSecurityProviders.jar file is delivered in the <Patch 11649088> (SCM 9.1 Bundle #16) (Update ID 860100) (see Knowledge <Document 1379019.1>) and there is also no task titled "Installing PeopleSoft Mobile Inventory Management."
The correct text should be: "The wlPSFTSecurityProviders.jar file can be found in the preceding directory location after you complete the Bundle 16 installation instructions."
In release 9.2, the following text should be removed: "The wlPSFTSecurityProviders.jar file can be found in the preceding directory location after you complete the Bundle 16 installation instructions that include the task titled Installing PeopleSoft Mobile Inventory Management."
