ETL 9.1: DTTM_MODIFIED Field On TL_RPTD_TIME Not Always Updated (Doc ID 1583495.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HRMS Time and Labor - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 9.1 version, Time Reporting

DTTM_MODIFIED field is not updated on the PS_TL_RPTD_TIME table when user submits the time after doing a save for later. The status changes to NA (needs approval) upon the submit but the DTTM_MODIFIED isn't updated to reflect that. Doc ID 1561222.1 states that the LASTUPDDTTM is no longer going to be populated in TL_RPTD_TIME and we should use DTTM_MODIFIED for any custom reports, etc.

When reported time requires approval, and reported time is in a Saved (SV) status, and a user navigates to the timesheet and submits while making no other changes, the reported status changes to Needs Approval (NA); however, DTTM_MODIFIED is not updated and should be for reporting purposes.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Report time and hit save for later
2. return to the paysheet later and without making any changes 'submit' the time for approval.

The issue has the following business impact:
We have an important process that relies on the accuracy of the DTTM_MODIFIED stamp for reporting purposes
