We need a validation exception rule that does not exist and when looking into the PeopleBooks I do not see a way to create a section within the validation App Engine. Unlike when you crate a rule and enter the AE section that should be created based on the rule construct there does not seem to be a way to do this for validation rules. Can someone tell me how to or if it is possible to create a validation AE Section?
Customer wants to create a new online validation that will verify that only a specific TRC is used by a time reporter based on the Job Code assigned to their Job.
Example: They have multiple job employees
One job is for work study
Other job is for Student Worker
Both jobs need to accumulate the hours and pay overtime if they go over 8 per day or 40 per week, so these two separate jobs must belong to the same Workgroup.
When I tried to create a new AE Section Definition, even using "ADD" it asks me to specify the Program Name as well as the Section.....how is this considered ADD if you have to chose from existing?
I need help (which PeopleBooks doesn't tell me) how to do this and use my own custom code.
I'm attaching a document where I was attempting to go through the steps based on PeopleBooks but it's not clear to me how ADD actually works here.
Can someone tell me how to or if it is possible to create a validation AE Section?
