E-SES: Search is Not Returning Results in Environment where a Single Gateway is Used for Multiple PeopleSoft Applications

No search results are returned in a PeopleSoft environment using multiple applications (eg Interaction Hub and HCM) with a single Gateway server. The following symptoms are observed:

   1.  Some (or all users) are not getting any search results returned. For example, if searching from global search bar, it never finds results and instead, returns message:
