An 11 line allocation causes problems in Create/Update Journal Entries when looking at line 11. In the word document attached are screen shots of the allocation step. It produced an 11 line JE. When you bring this JE up in Create/Update Journal Entries you will see that there are 11 lines but only 10 are showing. The Debits and Credits total $200.00. We then press the down arrow to see the 11th line. We then notice that line 11 is not showing and now it shows that the JE has 12 lines. The credits changed from $200.00 to $166.15, and when you run Edit Journal it comes back that the lines are out of balance.
We manually created a JE with the same lines to see if the error would happen with a manual or was it with just the allocation JE. The manual JE worked correctly. See the Excel spreadsheet to see these entries from Query.
Prototyping phase of a 9.2 implementation, scheduled to go live in early 2014. The ability to run allocations to create journal entries (often with more than 10 lines) is an integral part of our business processes.
