Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Time and Labor - Version 9.1 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Time is calculated incorrectly on timesheet for employees in countries that do not observe daylights savings time. Punch Total on is incorrect incorrect for Nov 3rd

For employee in countries that do not observe daylights savings time, 13 hours of time reports is calculated as 12 hours of punch total when time falls in daylights savings window for the base timezone

Daylights savings time correction should not apply to countries that do not observe and punch total should be equal to the time reported.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) Employee is in CHN time zone, system time zone is PST
2) Employees reports punch time on Sunday Nov 3rd from 8 am to 9pm that falls on daylights savings time window.
3) The total tl_quantity is 12 hours in place of 13.
4) Run time administration no exception is generated and payable time is created correctly which is 13 hours.

Due to this issue, users will be confused and think they will be underpaid and will trigger unnecessary calls to helpdesk.
