After configuring SSL on the gateway server, SES search functionality no longer works. When users run searches, this message is returned:

No results were returned. Refine your search by entering a different keyword

The SES Search diagnostics log shows this error:

PsftQueryFilter:getSecurityValues:com.sun.xml.internal.messaging.saaj.SOAPExceptionImpl: com.sun.xml.internal.messaging.saaj.SOAPExceptionImpl: Message send failed

The Integration Gateway log (file=PIA_stdout.log for Unix/Linux and NTService log for Windows) may show this error:

<Dec 12, 2013 11:18:40 AM PST> <Warning> <Security> <BEA-090482> <BAD_CERTIFICATE alert was received from - 12.345.678.123. Check the peer to determine why it rejected the certificate chain (trusted CA configuration, hostname verification). SSL debug tracing may be required to determine the exact reason the certificate was rejected.>

SES WebLogic log "search_server1_yyyy_MM_dd_hh_mm.log" (located in <SES_MIDDLETIER_HOME>/user_projects/domains/search_domain/servers/search_server1/logs) may show this error (if using a wildcard certificate):

####<Dec 12, 2013 11:18:40 AM PST> <Warning> <Security> <myserver> <search_server1> <FlexSecThread-4> <> <> <1a1f8947a7fef972:5573936:142e7f1a746:-8000-000000000000003a> <1386875920903> <BEA-090504> <Certificate chain received from - failed hostname verification check.
