EPY: View Self Service Paycheck - Paycheck Date Sort Order Problem (Doc ID 1617764.1)

Last updated on MARCH 02, 2018

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Payroll for North America - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When view paycheck in self service, then clicking on check date for sorting the paycheck display in month then year order.  It should in descending order by year.  To resolve user need to click on pay begin or end date column to put back in the correct descending order.  I was able to recreate issue in our demo database.

Even though the grid's header suggests it's sorted by "Check Date", the rows are not sorted correctly. They seem to be sorted numerically by month instead of taking into account the actual date & year.

Sorting works as header suggests

HRMS 9.2

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Main Menu > Self Service > Payroll and Compensation > View Paycheck
2. Sort by "Check Date"

If employees select the pay check date to sort paycheck, the order is by month not year.  All of January's checks display, then February's checks.
