Incorrect Rate Date on page causing discrepancy in PO Base Amounts

1) On line page, the Rate Date displayed is not corresponding with the exchange rate value. This is not normal.

2) As we see in the first part, when you save a new PO and then modify the currency code on PO header page, the Doc Base Amount value is correctly updated, but not BASE AMT value.

3) When you modify an old PO already dispatched to a vendor (example: changing dispatch method), the exchange rate and the Rate Date displayed on the PO Details page are affected.

Steps to recreate the issue:
Issue 1

  1. First check current market rates from GBP currency to USD currency
  2. Add a new PO for Vendor = GBR0000001.  Enter the line information.
  3. Verify the PO Header details
    1. Currency_code : GBP
    2. Base Currency : USD
    3. Rate date : 15/12/02
    4. Exchange Rate : 1.51932463
  4. Go to the Distributions page and click the Currency link and verfiy the details
    1. Rate date : 15/12/02
    2. Exchange Rate : 1.51932463
    3. Base Amt : 1519,32 USD
    4. Doc Base Amount : 1519,32 USD
  5. Return to main page and save the PO.
  6. PO_ID : 0000000226 was created correct.
  7. Create a second PO (same values) using USD currency. PO_ID : 0000000227
  8. Next return to PO Header details page and change Currency code value
  9. Change the Currency to GBP
  10. Press OK to message.  <Changing Currency code on the header will convert values on the lines. (10200,95)
  11. Save the PO
  12. Return to Distributions page
  13. Take a look at :
    1. - Base Amt value 1000 USD (should be 1519,32 USD like Doc Base amount)
    2. - Doc Base Amount value 1519,32 USD
    3. - Rate Date value 09/02/2013 (should be 15/12/2002)
    4. - Exchange rate value 1 (should be 1,51932463)

To conclude, when you save the PO and then modify currency code on PO header page, Doc base Amount is correctly updated, but not the Base Amt field.
The exchange rate and the rate date displayed on PO Currency Information page are incorrect

Issue 2

  1. Setup – add a new market rates for GBP to USD
    1. In another session (don’t close current page), update market rates from currency GBP to USD
    2. Press « Correct History » button to add a new row
    3. New value of effective date : 16/12/02
    4. New value of rate : 1.60000000
    5. Save page and check database
  2. Open first PO 0000000226 and change the PO Dispatch method
  3. Save the PO
  4. Go to PO Currency information for first PO line and verify the values
    1. Rate date = 16/12/02 (the date corresponding to market rate 1.60000)
    2. Exchange Rate : 1.51932463

Conclusion Issue 2:

The rate date 16/12/2012 is not corresponding with exchange rate 1.51932463.

The Rate Date displayed is incorrect. It should be 15/12/2012.
