Error "Email Address is Already in Use" When Applicant Registers on HCM 9.2 Candidate Gateway (Doc ID 1623153.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to refer a friend, the following error occurs when the referred applicant tries to apply for the Job.

ERROR

The email address is already in use. Please enter a unique email address.

REPLICATION STEPS:
-----------------------

1. Log in to Self Service> Recruiting> Careers.
2. Select a Job Opening Id and use Refer a Friend.
3. The referred applicant/friend tries to apply for the job and the email URL takes him to the Welcome Page/ Job Search page.
4. When the applicant tries to register, message is displayed:  "The email address is already in use. Please enter a unique email address."
  

BUSINESS IMPACT

Due to this issue, referred applicant cannot apply for the job referred to them.
