EGL9.2: ChartField Request Business Justification Does Not Show Values When Request Is Saved, The Page Closed And Re-Opened (Doc ID 1623991.1)

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

ChartField request business justification does not show values once request is saved and re-opened although the values are being stored in database.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

ChartField request business justification should show values once request is saved and re-opened.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Common Definitions > Business Request Configuration > Business Request Setup and make sure ACCOUNT chartfield is enabled.
  2. Navigate to Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Common Definitions > Business Request Configuration > Business Request Template and open Field Name ACCOUNT. For 'Business Justification' add the following fields:
    • FLD_REQ_U_CHKBX1 Account A
    • FLD_REQ_U_CHKBX2 Account B
    • FLD_REQ_U_CHKBX3 Account C
    • FLD_REQ_U_CHKBX4 Account D
  3. Navigate to Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Common Definitions > Design ChartFields > Define Values ChartField Request and add a new chartfield request. Make sure to select one of the 4 business justification check boxes, for example Account B. Save changes.
  4. Record PS_FLD_REQ_CUS_DTL is correctly updated.
  5. Sign out and sign in again.
  6. Navigate to Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Common Definitions > Design ChartFields > Define Values ChartField Request and open your chartfield request. The business justification is not showing any values.
