Recruiting Page Add Phone Number Giving Error (Doc ID 1628862.1)

Symptoms

Add New Applicant page giving error when adding phone number starting with + sign. When other non numeric characters are used (ex: -), the error does not appear. Also, when phone number is added starting with + sign in self service > personal information, it is saved without issues. So this is not in sync and needs to be corrected. Firstly it is not consistent with Self service > Personal Information page and also, allows few non numeric character and not others in add applicant –  phone number field.

Phone number must be numeric; please re-enter.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Recruiting-> Add new Applicant
2. Add details of the applicant
3. While saving this is asking for only numeric numbers.
