EGPAUS: Can a Unix output file (such as TFN) be converted to Window DOS? (Doc ID 1630207.1)

On: PeopleSoft Enterprise HRMS Global Payroll Australia Release 9.1, TFN Declaration - Electronic


The App Engine GPAU_TFN_ELC processed on Unix Server cannot be sent to the ATO. The TFN output file on Unix format is a single LF character as line terminator ie., no CR.

ERROR MESSAGE received from the ATO's ECI upload portal:

"The Supplier Data (IDENTREGISTER1) contains a Line Feed character without a preceding Carriage Return character at position '649'
Transmission therefore was not successful with the file is its current form."


When the TFN Declaration - Electronic is processed, no error should occur on the ATO's portal.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Run TFN process (Global Payroll & Absence Mgmt, Taxes > Create TFN File AUS > TFN Declaration – Electronic)
2. Check output file in process monitor

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot submit TFN file to the ATO.
