Mass time is not populating the reported time table with the hours (punches) from schedule assigned if time reporter is not assigned to a task profile. The mass time selection being made is to use a range of dates, do not specify a TRC and specify to use the option 'use employee task profile'. Because the Mass Time process can be run against a group of employees all at once some of the employee's in the group may not be directly assigned to a task profile but simply use the default from the taskgroup. Additionally, some employees may belong to different workgroups that use different Default Regular rules which is the reason for leaving TRC blank. For these employee's reported time is not being populated as it should be from schedule and there is no error message warning the end user that reported time wasn't created. If the option is set to 'Use Taskgroup Default Profile' is specified then reported time does get populated, but this is not a valid option for most customers.
Expect the Mass Time process should populate the timesheet with the punches from the schedule and leave the TRC field blank so that the default regular rule will populate the payable time with the TRC. Also, it is expected that the taskgroup default task profile should be used if some or all of the employees do not have one specified on their time reporter data record.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Employee enrolled in exception reporting workgroup
2. workgroup has default sch attached of zero hours
3. employee is assigned to a punch schedule
4. employee is not assigned a task profile on time reporter data and the expectation is to use the taskgroups default profile
5. using the mass time option to report time for a selected TRC using scheduled hours and specify use employee task profile
6. process runs to success and no exceptions generated
7. no reported time gets populated
Due to this issue, they are unable to pre-populate the reported time table based on employees schedule assigned, and there is no indication that it didn't work as expected.
