E-BI/XMLP: Null Value Handling In XML Publisher Reports - NaN Starting in PT8.53.x (Doc ID 1637241.1)

Last updated on JULY 27, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.53 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

After upgrading to PT8.53, notice that the BI Publisher report output with null values displays the results differently as compared to earlier PT releases:

==>> in 8.53 = "NaN"

==>> in 8.49 = "0"

This was a change in behavior starting in PT8.53, which uses the BIP 11G core engine.

Since the term "NaN" may not be widely known, the change in behavior will result in many end-user questions.

Is it possible to return to the pre-8.53 behavior without having to code individual report fields?

For example, is there a global property that may be used to handle null value treatment?
