PeopleTools 8.52 or 8.53
After upgrade to PT 8.52/8.53, Application Engine (AE) program with Do Select/Do Until/Do When Actions procsessing large amount of data takes a much longer time than before PeopleTools upgrade e.g. running in old PeopleTools 8.50.
The generated AET Timing Report, showed most time is NOT spent on Peoplecode and SQL. There is a big gap showing in the total timing in summary,
1. Set AE trace=128 in process definition or psprcs.cfg.
Parameter List Append -TRACE 128
2. Run Application Engine program with Do Select/Do Until/Do When Action, such as FS_JGEN in a FSCM 9.1 environment or SES search indexes build programs.
3. Check .aet file generated.
The following is the timing information from a test run, AE_FS_JGEN_.AET.
SQL, cache and Peoplecode take only about 20% total run time and the rest is the lost to other unclear events.
