EAM: Incorrect Depreciation for Multiple Add Rows From PC (Doc ID 1672367.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 15, 2016

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Asset Management - Version 9 to 9 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In release 9.0 Maintenance Pack 5 (Bundle 11), Test, after interfacing an asset from projects with 2 different Add rows in different chartfields, after running AM_DEPR_CALC on the asset, only the 1st DTTM_STAMP ADD row gets PDP calculated, while the other ADD row does not.

Business Impact:
Incorrect depreciation for one of the chartfields.
In contrast, if you add an asset in AM with 2 ADD rows in different chartfields, PDP is calculated on both ADD rows/chartfields.

Steps to replicate:
1. Add an asset in Project Costing that has more than 1 row with each one going to a different chartfield (e.g. Fund or Deptid).
2. Run PC_AM.
3. Run AMIF1000
4. Run AM_DEPR_CALC.

Expected Results:
Expected both chartfields to begin depreciating in the same period and each have PDP and DPR in that period.

Actual Results:
Only the 1st chartfield row (i.e the one with the earlier dttm_stamp) got PDP and DPR calculated in the expected period.
