E-PORTAL: Load Balancer truncate the SES search response - NS_ERROR_FAILURE exception is received when global search is used

Information in this document applies to any platform.
After configuring SES, when searching the link that are returned do not have the correct URL.The issue seems to be with a large URL getting formed when the search results are returning large number of rows.
Tools : PT 8.53.12
SES : 126.96.36.199
Application: Portal 9.1 MP2 Demo and Bundle 8. (With this version only SES is supported and Verity is deactivated). Refer the document E-PORTAL: PeopleTools Upgrade Path Sequence For Interaction Hub 9.1 Databases (Doc ID 1276186.1). Using Tangerine Theme.
Search Index: PTPORTALREGISTRY
OS: Windows 7 64 Bit , 8GB
Mozilla based browsers: FireFox 29.0.1 and Google 34.0.1847.131 and Safari 7.x on MAC 10.x
No such issue tough when IE is used, and no issue if the load balancer is bypasssed and when the webserver is reached directly
Steps To Reproduce
1. Log into PIA
2. Search with a keyword.
pop-up error occurs and user have to click the OK button further

Due to this issue customer is not going to the page directly from the search results.
