PeopleSoft Enterprise HRMS Human Resources - Version 9 to 9.2 [Release 9] Information in this document applies to any platform.
Will Oracle be providing an update to the diagnosis table for transition to ICD-10 coding (replacing ICD-9)? A transition to ICD-10 will occur on October 1, 2014. Below is further information regarding the transition:
On October 1, 2014, the International Classification of Diseases, 9th Edition (ICD-9) code sets currently used to document medical diagnosis and procedures will be replaced by ICD-10 code sets. The transition to ICD-10 is required for everyone covered by the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA). This change does not affect CPT coding for outpatient procedures. The Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has taken the lead on this conversion project and provided valuable resources on their website.
