EAP: Able to add New Supplier / Vendor with a blank Supplier ID / Vendor ID

If the box for "Use Autonumbering" is not checked on the Supplier Set Control page, able to create a new Supplier with a blank Supplier ID. This will cause issue when re-displaying the Supplier and trying to make a Change to the Supplier. One of the following errors will occur when trying to re-save the Vendor, depending on if trying to make a change to the Supplier's Identifying Information, Address or Location:

Field is Required: VENDOR_PAY - VENDOR_ID (124,64)
Field is Required: VNDR_ADDR_SCROL - VENDOR_ID (124,64)
Field is Required: VNDR_LOC_SCROL - VENDOR_ID (124,64)

In addition, when adding a new Voucher, the Supplier Name and Short Supplier Name fields are automatically populated since the Supplier ID field is blank.

1. Navigate to Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Product Related > Procurement Options > Suppliers > Set Controls-Supplier
2. SetID = SHR03
3. “Use Autonumbering” box is not checked
4. Navigate to PeopleTools > Utilities > Administration > TableSet Control
5. Set Control Value = US001
6. FS_38 (Supplier Tables) = SHR03
7. Create a Supplier for SetID = SHR03 and leave the Supplier ID field blank
8. Click Add
9. Populate the necessary fields for the Supplier
10. Save the Supplier
11. Supplier > Summary page displays the Supplier ID as blank
12. Re-display the Supplier for SetID = SHR03 and leaving the Supplier ID field blank
13. On the Supplier > Identifying Information page, add a 1 to the end of the Supplier Name field
14. Save the page
15. The following error occurs -- Field is Required: VENDOR_PAY - VENDOR_ID (124,64)
