On PeopleTools 8.53+, with a load balancer only allowing https traffic, configuring Secure Enterprise Search (SES) on page Search Instance has contradictory demands:
The SES Callback URL validation fails when the URL does not correspond to that of Service Target Location (the plain Target Location, not the Secure Target Location).
The callback must use https protocol for its traffic to go though the load balancer and have a fallback, it can use http only if it is set to one of the physical web servers.
But the Target Location should not be https, otherwise message schema validation would fail, there is a warning on it, advising to use Secure Target Location for https.
On the other hand, pointing to a physical server makes the SES Callback traffic dependent on that server's availability, no fallback, an undesirable configuration option.
What are the actual dependencies and requirements in this SES setup in relation to Integration Broker setup, and how to get a proper setup that validates OK?
