EPY: How to Work Around Error 000366 - Negative Gross Pay (Doc ID 1913506.1)

Goal

Employee has terminated.   Need to refund ESPP deduction collected but has not yet purchased stock.  In addition the employee has been paid earnings that they were not entitled to.   When attempting to process a check with the negative earnings which are less than the ESPP after tax deduction, the calculation process issues a hard error 000366 - Negative Gross.
