The Status of the New Lot ID Is Set to 'Open' instead of on 'Hold' when Completing a Lot Controlled Item Using the 'Record Completions and Scrap' Component (Doc ID 1916484.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 13, 2018

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM Manufacturing - Version 9.1 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

You observe that when a Production Completion is performed for a Lot controlled Item (navigation: Production Control, Process Production, Complete Production, Record Completions and Scrap), and a new Lot ID is entered, and the Item Definition indicates that Lot created as of today should be on Hold, the Lot that gets created is in 'Open' status.

Steps to replicate the issue:

  1. Add an effective dated row for a Lot Controlled Item under Define Items, Inventory tab, Item Details, using a future date with Lot Status = 'Open.
  2. Change the old existing row to Lot Status = 'Hold.
  3. Complete a quantity of the Item 'today' and enter a new Lot ID.
  4. Observe the Lot > it is created with a Status of 'Open' as of today while the Status should have been 'Hold'.
