EGL8.9+: Allocation Creating Journal With Blank Rate Type Even the Default Rate Type is Defined on the Allocation Step. (Doc ID 1922805.1)

On :  9.2 version, Allocations

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Allocation Process is creating Journal with blank rate Type.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Allocation Process is creating Journal with default exchange Rate Type

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a Copy type allocation
    Pool - Account = Constant Value. Pool Span = BAL
    Target - Account = Pool. Target Span Option = Divide Target Across Period
    Offset - Account = Constant Value
2. Define default rate type on Allocation Step > Output options.
3. Run allocation on one single business unit only ( no interunit transaction involved)

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot have journal edit to recalculate the exchange rate by rate type.

 

Changes

Site has just upgraded to 9.2 and reported that rate type is populated in 8.9 but not in 9.2

This is different scenario to the issue reported by 1667756.1 and 1663339.1 ( whereas there is currency conversion b/w pool amount and target/offset amount)
