Symptoms

Users cannot use the Calculate Compensation (PER501) process to update employees linked to a specific group and Salary Plan Grade/Step

REPLICATION STEPS:

1. User creates a new Group with at least one employee.  (Set Up HRMS>Common Definitions> Group Build>Group Build Group Definitions)
2. User creates the Security for the Group. (SetUP HRMS>Common Definitions> Group Build>Security)
3. User inserts a new row into the Salary Plan Grade/Step Table,  with a new effective date that is later than the employee's current Job Data Row and that matches the employee's Salary Plan Grade/Step, and with a different compensation rate.  (Compensation>Base Compensation>Maintain Plans>Define Salary Grades)
4. User runs the Calculate Compensation Process (PER501) expecting to update the employee's current and future dated rows in Job Data. (Workforce Administration> Job Information> Calculate Compensation)
