Student Enrollment Options Web Service (SSR_STDNT_ENRL_OPTIONS_R) Does Not Enable Permission Number field (SET SSR_PRM_NBR_ENBL) As Expected (Doc ID 1928216.1)

Symptoms

 Service SSR_STDNT_ENRL_OPTIONS_R returns field SSR_PRM_NBR_ENBL which should determine whether or not the Permission Number field is enabled when enrolling. For the normal SS enrollment page in browser, the permission number is only hidden if class is defined as having Student Specific Permissions.  For the web service, it also disables permissions when consent is not required. This prevents student from entering class permission number.  We expect that unless class is marked student specific permissions, the permission field should be available.

Test the web service using the Generic Service Tester utility to generate the request message for a class where Student Specific Permissions check box is not selected and where no consent is required.

The request message will be similar to:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<SSR_STDNT_ENRL_OPTIONS_REQ
xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Enterprise/HCM/services">
  <STUDENT_ENRL_OPTION_REQUEST>
    <EMPLID>SR0400</EMPLID>
    <CLASS_NBR>1108</CLASS_NBR>
    <INSTITUTION>PSUNV</INSTITUTION>
    <CLASS_NBR_CHG_TO></CLASS_NBR_CHG_TO>
    <ACAD_CAREER>UGRD</ACAD_CAREER>
    <ENRL_REQ_ACTION>E</ENRL_REQ_ACTION>
    <STRM>0730</STRM>
    <SSR_ENROLLMENT_REQUEST>Y</SSR_ENROLLMENT_REQUEST>
  </STUDENT_ENRL_OPTION_REQUEST>
</SSR_STDNT_ENRL_OPTIONS_REQ>

Response message will include the following (this shows only the relevant part of the response message and not the full response message):

  <CLASS_ENROLLMENT_OPTIONS>
        <SSR_REL_CLS_ENBL>False</SSR_REL_CLS_ENBL>
        <SSR_WT_LST_OK_ENBL>False</SSR_WT_LST_OK_ENBL>
        <SSR_PRM_NBR_ENBL>False</SSR_PRM_NBR_ENBL>
