Some Project may have a previous Project Manager and current Project Manager listed in the Project Definition page. Then it was decided that current Project Manager will not be the Manager of this Project and at this point no new Project Manager is identified. If at that time a new Timesheet is entered then Timesheet routes to old project manager which is wrong.
1-In Project Definition page , make sure that there is current active Project Manager identified e.g: dates in 2014 as well as there is an old Project Manager identified in Year 2009.
2-Create new TimeSheet and Submit for Approval. Result: Time sheet routed to current active Project Manager as expected.
3-Remove the current Project Manager from this project. Go to Project definition page and from resources tab uncheck the box "Project Manager". Result: system automatic pop up the screen of the old manager assigned in 2009 as being the current manager even though dates are in the past (2009).
6-Create new Time Sheet and submit for approval.
Time sheet has been routed to old Project Manager
Time Sheet Report should route to System Administrator if no current Project Manager is identified for the Project.
Please see the Replication Steps document for more details related to complete configuration and the replication steps necessary to reproduce the issue.
