EPY: Why Are General Deductions Still Available on the Create General Deduction Page Once Removed From the Company General Deduction Table? (Doc ID 1929567.1)

Symptoms

Removed the general deduction from the Company General Deduction page.  When setting up a new deduction for an employee on the create General Deduction page, the prompt lookup still shows the general deduction which was removed.  Why?

Changes

In tax update 13-B, Oracle development delivered Bug 14635676 - COMPANY GENERAL DEDUCTION TABLE VIEW IS NOT EFFECTIVE DATED SO DISPLAYS ALL DEDS.  

In this patch, we modified PeopleCode and Pages to issue a warning message when the deduction code is selected from the drop down list and is invalid as of the effective date.
+Warning:  Deduction Code xxxxx is invalid as of the Effective Date
+xx/xx/xx (2000,863).+ The Deduction Code is invalid as of the Effective
+Date.+
 
Prior to the modifications, error message 2000,733 was issued only when the invalid deduction code was saved.  To the user, the timing of the error/warning is important.  Users want to know right away if the deduction code is not valid, and getting the error ONLY upon the save was inconvenient.  

With the new warning, the warning is issued as soon as the deduction code is selected from the drop down list.
