Adding Contacts During Supplier Self-Registration Allows Incomplete Contact Information and Non-Compliant Password (Doc ID 1931476.1)

Symptoms

Setup:
1) On Password Controls page, Requirement is Minimum Length = 8.
2) On Supplier Registration System Setup unselect “System Generates User Password”.

ISSUE #1
System allows blank password even though “System Generates User Password” is NOT selected, which results in User Profile created with blank password.

1) Login to Supplier Portal.
2) Click on Register as a Supplier.
3) Complete Steps 1-3.
4) On Step 4, click Add Contact button.
5) Enter required fields (First and Last Name, Email ID, Telephone, Requested User ID) and leave password blank.
6) Complete and Submit the Registration.
7) Login to EMPLOYEE Portal and see that User Profile is create with blank password.


ISSUE #2
System allows non-compliant password, which results in User Profile not getting created.

1) Login to Supplier Portal.
2) Click on Register as a Supplier.
3) Complete Steps 1-3.
4) On Step 4, click Add Contact button.
5) Enter required fields (First and Last Name, Email ID, Telephone, Requested User ID) and enter password "NewSup" (only 6 characters).
6) User is allowed to complete and Submit the Registration with the non-compliant password.
7) Login to EMPLOYEE Portal and see that User Profile is not created.


ISSUE #3
System allows incomplete contact information to be saved if using “Enter” key instead of “OK” button.

1) Login to Supplier Portal.
2) Click on Register as a Supplier.
3) Complete Steps 1-3.
4) On Step 4, click Add Contact button.
5) Enter only First Name, then tab to next field and hit "Enter" key (don't use the "OK" button).
6) User is allowed to complete and Submit the Registration without the required fields on the Contact.
7) Login to EMPLOYEE Portal and see that User Profile is not created.
