E-IB: PeopleSoft Communication/Connections Failing When SSL V3 Is Disabled (Doc ID 1938545.1)

Symptoms

Problem occurs on with Integration Broker when on PeopleTools 8.49 or above.

Third party vendor has disabled Secure Socket Layer (SSL) V3 and is now requiring Transport Layer Security (TLS1 or TLS2) which is causing the integration to fail with the following error.
 

 

 

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Initiate Service Operation to third party, or Ping Third party Node
2. The Ping immediately fails with error on screen. Message failure can be seen in PeopleTools > Integration Broker > Service Operation Monitor
