Direct Report integration between HCM and CRM HelpDesk For HR: which is the setup to use if Direct Reports is set up in HCM as Access Type “By Part Posn Mgmt Supervisor”.

Customer is setting up the Direct Report integration between HCM 9.2 and CRM 9.2.
In their HCM database, the Direct Reports has been setup by choosing Access Type equals to “By Part Posn Mgmt Supervisor”.
However, in the HRMS PeopleBook section that contains the instructions to setup the Direct Report integration with CRM HelpDesk for HR, it is stated that in order to setup the Direct Reports integration with CRM, Access Type should be "By Supervisor Id" in following HCM page:
Set Up HCM > Common Definitions > Direct Reports for Managers > Direct Reports Setup > Select Target Information
Customer would like to know if they should indeed use "By Supervisor Id" or if they should change Access Type to “By Part Posn Mgmt Supervisor” to reflect their Direct Report setup in HCM.
