E-CP: Get "No matching buffer found for level. (15,26)" Only on Specific Application Data Record(s) (Doc ID 1950372.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 23, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.40 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On PeopleTools 8.4x / 8.5x, some component's Search page works generally fine and opens almost all application data records except one or very few.

But on searching for some specific application data set (for example a certain student's debit amount and related amounts) the below error is triggered:

No matching buffer found for level. (15,26)

When retrieving data for a page, a data value was retrieved for which there was no matching data value at a higher level scroll entry.
(For example, at scroll level 2, a value of ABC was read in and scroll level 1 contained this higher level field but did not have a row with a key value of ABC.)
This usually occurs because of an error in a database record or view; or because of improper deletion of values in a database.
Correct the page definition or contact your system administrator.

Is this a problem with PeopleTools delivered functionality, if yes, which part, and at all events, how to troubleshoot this error?
