Symptoms

ELM 9.0 - Learning Filter Date Range Utilizes Enroll Date and Not Status Date.  The filter should use the completion date to determine with the days specified or date range.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create two learning filters under Set Up ELM > Learning Filters
    • Completed Training Feb 2, 2014 to Oct 22, 2014
      • Enrollment Status (Completed)
      • Date Range 02/02/14 to 10/22/14
    • Completed Training Oct 23, 2014 to Oct 31, 2014.
      • Enrollment Status (Completed)
      • Date Range 10/23/14 to10/31/14
  2. Get a learner and enrolls into PeopleSoft Financials on 02/26/2014
  3. Do not complete the training until 10/27/2014
  4. The completed status completion date is 10/27/14
  5. The Learner attempts to look at completed training between 10/23/14 to 10/31/14 using the configured learning filter. The completion date for the PeopleSoft Financial Training is 10/27/14. The completed course does not appear under the appropriate learning filter
  6. The Learner then selects the other learning filter, completed training between 02/02/14 to 10/22/14 and the PeopleSoft Financials appears under that learning filter
  7. The enrollment date is 02/26/14, but the course was completed on 10/27/14
  8. Expected the course to be visible under the learning filter for completion between 10/23/14 to 10/31/14 because the course was completed on 10/27/14.

Due to this issue, users cannot see learning filters working as setup.
