As part of testing journal uploads from Excel on PT 8.54, a customer performed the browser test. He found that it failed on PT 8.54 when the password has a special character such as a # in it. Further testing revealed that the browser test also fails on PT 8.52 and 8.53 when the password has a special character (such as a #) in it.

Invalid Userid and/or password

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Create a PeopleSoft user, and ensure that the password has a special character such as # in it. For testing the VP1 super user can simply be cloned.

2. Add permissions to the WEBLIB_XMLLINK Web Libraries. If the super user such as VP1 was cloned, this step is not needed.

3. Perform the browser test by appending the Userid/pwd in the URL as shown below
